Thorntree Films is a collaborative story telling unit that was born of a need to tell stories from in and around the Eastern Cape. Drawing on the talents and experience of our partners we hope to develop and deliver short films that function as tools for change.
If we start to think of our customers as our audience we see how storytelling and the film-making process have the unmatched potential to unite multi-disciplinary teams in meaningful narrative dialogue.
The short format film allows collaborators to experience all aspects of film-making without the associated time, costs and production complexities of large scale ventures. Production is underscored by a sense of DIY urgency and success is determined by the emotional resonance of all aspects of the process and final film.
