Enon - A Place of Song

Enon - A Place of Song

About this film

In the heart of South Africa’s citrus growing region lives a small Moravian community which recently celebrated 190 years of existence. An amateur brass band plays a central role in the lives of these people for whom music is so important. Under very trying social and economic circumstances the people of Enon openly share their love and sense of well-being. Theirsis a joy marked by simple acts of caring that bring to question the values of increasingly complex western lifestyles. Enon is the first in a series of short films that we and our friends over at Grubstreet hope to produce over the coming months. Watch this space for more tales from the Eastern Cape.
